The MotoRide is a children's bike meant for the cool and design-aware boys and girls. The design resembles a real motorcycle, but is made from lightweight wood and aluminum, while remaining child friendly and durable. The design is elegant and clean yet effective, using one bended wooden master piece that serves as saddle as well as rear fender. It features a front fork with a realistic mounting, as well as a handle bar made from bended aluminum, closed with handles.
With TIM (Tangible Instant Messaging) a user's social life is integrated into his or her home environment. Since all social communication tends to go over the internet more and more, this concept is a way to break this trend. TIM is a representation of online friends in a physical fish bowl. The friends are replaced by (abstractions of) fish, floating around in the bowl. This bowl can be placed anywhere in a home environment: on the wall in your kitchen, or on the coffee table in the living room. The fish interact with each like normal fish, but following the actions of your contacts.
In a large lighting installation users can interact via the light with each other in order to collaboratively create light effects. The light covers an entire wall, allowing for much freedom with the users. Going from the perspective of hedonistic design, the light has the goal to bring people together and let them enjoy a new experience together. Touching the light squares will create a wave of color, starting from the touched spot. This wave expands in all directions and can collide with waves created by others. The collisions generate new spectacular light effects. This way, users create a colorful interactive light painting together.
